about

Well, here it is: the reason why half of us immediately changed our names and why the other half of us can never run for office.

This record marks the recording debut of J.D. Fleming: treysuno's last, longest-tenured, and best drummer.

This was our third official release and the first on our own label, Kicking and Screaming Records. We pressed 300 7" records on white vinyl with hand-cut manila envelope jackets. Both the jackets and the records were labeled with a rubber stamp. Also, each record was tagged with a joke, drawing, word definition, or some other unique identifier. Like snowflakes, no two copies of this record are alike.

This was the last official release to be recorded at Poe Ditch. With our time at college complete, Prescott and I no longer had free access to the studio. Probably the best sounding tracks we got out of the Ditch, but still a lot of rookie mistakes. Lenny Gitlin helped us out tremendously so we could focus on being musicians during tracking and then turn our engineer brains on during mixing.

The record gets its name as a joke about the titles of the two songs, which are themselves jokes (click the song titles for explanations). I had a weird sense of humor ten years ago. It's weirder now, but I know more words.

about

treysuno Bowling Green, Ohio

It's exceptionally rare that a rock band affects the lives of people. Most of the time they're just background noise, easily dismissed and happily forgotten. One of the true joys of being in treysuno is knowing that we were the soundtrack to some of the best years of the lives of a couple dozen people. Who needs a stadium tour when you can make a deeply personal connection like that? ... more
